This policy explains how Silver Cohort (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles the personal information and program access details you provide when using our management platform and services.

1. What We Collect

We collect your name, university email address, institutional program details, and fellowship placement goals during your initial onboarding. When you authorize our platform to manage your placement, we securely store your system access configurations and authorization tokens. We also log your IP address and a precise timestamp when you sign the standard Management Agreement.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to deliver the program management, technical task execution, and resume-building services you have requested. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Access to your managed program dashboard is strictly limited to authorized Silver Cohort technical staff assigned to your account, and every single interaction is fully audit-logged.

3. Data Storage & Security

All platform data is stored securely. Handshake credentials are protected and only accessed by authorized staff for the work you approve. Access logs are retained for 12 months.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account profile and career data for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to disconnect a program placement or revoke management permissions, those specific system configurations are permanently purged from our secure database vault within 24 hours. Upon full account closure, all associated personal data is completely deleted within 30 days, except where retention is legally mandated.

5. Cookies

We utilize standard session cookies strictly for secure user authentication (managed entirely by Supabase Auth). We do not deploy tracking cookies, invasive pixels, or third-party behavioral analytics that harvest personally identifiable information.

6. Your Rights

You retain full ownership of your digital profile and have the right to access, correct, or permanently delete any personal data we hold. To exercise these rights, contact our compliance team at privacy@silvercohort.com. We process and respond to all official data requests within 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy framework to align with updated platform compliance rules. We will notify you of any material changes via your verified college email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
